Global Research Alliance Senior Scientist Award

This award supports exchanges between New Zealand scientists and scientists from other Global Research Alliance countries. The award enables collaboration on research into reducing emissions from livestock.

You must have a PhD and/or be a scientist with at least 5 years research experience.

LEARN co-funded PhD scholarship

Students from developing countries can apply for this scholarship to attend a New Zealand research organisation.

You must be enrolled or enrolling in research relating to livestock greenhouse gas mitigation.


Nuffield Farming Scholarship

Nuffield scholars travel to observe, learn about, and experience agricultural on a global scale.

MPI is a sponsor and partner of the Nuffield Farming Scholarship, which is run by the New Zealand Rural Leadership Trust.


Postgraduate Science Scholarship

Scholarships are for Masters and PhD candidates for research relevant to the primary industries at a New Zealand tertiary education institution.

Applications for Stage 1 closed on 12 March 2018.


Significant Contribution to Food Safety Award

This award recognises an individual, a team, or an organisation that has made a significant improvement to food safety in New Zealand. This could be for a specific process or operation, for one sector or across a few sectors.
